    Trying to get this game to launch has been rough, and I have read a dozen posts like this one through the web about the same issue (dating back all the way to 2019). From what I can conclude, the Microsoft Store file (Xbox Game Pass PC) is the issue here.
    Downloading from Bethesda, Steam, or any other launcher seems to have the game being able to launch just fine.

    Note that the game was able to launch before the latest NVIDIA driver 451.48, but this driver is the latest stable and tested driver from them, so I don't want to revert back to an older driver since I play other games too, that seemingly benefit from the
    latest game driver. I am running an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW.

    I have tried the troubleshooting methods mentioned in similar posts, but these all seem to apply to (and work for) Rage 2 installed from other launchers. Methods I tried include simple things such as reinstalling clients, drivers, the launcher, the game,
    etc. Windows, graphic drivers, other drivers, everything is up to date.

    More advanced troubleshooting methods involved deleting a system32 file for the game, running it in a legacy mode, playing around with windows full screen settings.

    None of these work, so long as the game is downloaded from the Microsoft Store. There are numerous posts with the same issue dating back more than a year with no resolution, leading me to believe that no one that downloaded this game on PC through game pass
    has actually been able to play it for a decent amount of time.

    Also quite frustrating is that posts here regarding this issue are locked with no confirmation of a solution, just the unsuccessful troubleshooting methods I have listed above, mentioned in different ways with varying tweaks.

    It's not a lot to ask for a game to start when you double click it x(

    Guess you can say this is my last attempt to pursue playing this game. If there is anyone that has downloaded and installed this game from the Microsoft Store through game pass and is able to get the thing to open, please let me know!

    What antivirus are you running? Make sure the Game Pass PC app and Rage 2 both have exceptions enabled. Certain AV programs will block the program from launching because it needs to be online.

    According to WB Games, it will be available for the Microsoft Store as well. Perhaps by launch the game will be listed on the Microsoft Store and available with Game Pass for PC as well.

    Why do you even have Xbox Live Gold if you do not have an Xbox? Anyway Game pass Ultimate changes gold to Game Pass Ultimate. yes you can do it from your PC. Just launch the Microsoft Store, then search for Xbox game pass, when it shows up, scroll to subscriptions
    and choose the one you want.
