r6 siege characters coming soon for no season pass holders

r6 character are to come on the 9th for those who do not have a season pas it will be 2 character a girl frost who have a fast rate of fire sub machine-gun and a shotgun with a pistol and bear like traps witch injure instantly. then theres buk he has a m4
like rifle and a marks man rifle his abilty is a mounted shotgun he is more of a take action character. hope this helped ease your wait

Sunset Overdrive DotRotFM DLC Announced!

Was expecting some more DLC sooner or later for us season pass holders.

 

Can't download Final Fantasy season pass.

ok, well DLC 1, while free, will have exclusive content for season pass holders and is coming on Dec. 22, will we get all said content without season pass installed?

Yep, and after performing a magic trick... Here it is.

 

That's great news but unfortunately Tom Clancy's Estate lost me when they slapped on a mega content season pass that leaves you scratching your head as to what you're actually getting and not getting with different versions as well as allowing people to
spend money to advance their characters.

You can probably have a decent experience without having to shell out anything extra and you can probably grind to get the good stuff eventually too without having to spend on perks or bonuses...

But when you come to the front door of a game and are greeted with "Hey, if you just buy the game... look at all this great stuff you CAN'T have"... well then I'm sure I'm not the only person who thought "Wow... really? Tell you what... I'll give it a miss".

 

I disagree Az, I think the way they have handled DLC for is game is perfect, you don't have to spend a penny to get new maps or operators, yes you may have to wait an extra week but if you just play the game as normal and have fun you can unlock all the
operators for free and the maps are also free which therefore means the community doesn't get split by DLC map rotation. I wish more developers took this route.

I think the only thing the season pass does is gives you a few skins for guns which are pointless and allows you access to operators a week early.

Still the best multiplayer game of this gen as far as I'm concerned.

 

Well it's great that it's a quality experience for those who were prepared to take the gamble with this game.

"Rainbow" doesn't have a monopoly on being a marketplace mess.

"Evlovle" despite riding a Hype Wave that dwarfs that of "Rainbow" still managed to alienate many gamers with the sheer amount of DLC available at launch even though it was all almost exclusively cosmetic.

"Gears: Judgement" had the same affect on people and many of us left it alone even though the 60+ day 1 DLC items were again mostly cosmetic.

The problem is it's not clear which presents 2 problems.

Firstly, people who like to know what they're buying don't buy because it's not clear.

Secondly, there's something inherently suspicious about not being honest and clear about your product.

All the stuff you're telling us about the DLC is great to know.

Too bad the Publisher couldn't do that when they put it in the shops and on the marketplace.

At least people who want to jump onto the bandwagon late (and when it comes to shooters with progression levels there's not many that do) they can pick it up for half the December 1st cost.

Please don't take this as a poke or dig at the game or at the people who enjoy it but rather questioning an extremely questionable marketing style.

 

Maybe I'm missing something because I purchased it about a week or two after release but I didn't find anything confusing or misleading about the way the game was marketed, I knew before I spent my cash that I would be getting all the maps for free and could
use the in game money rewarded for playing the game on new operators.

 

You may be worrying that if you accept that I am correct you've somehow made some sort of mistake, or done something silly in a worst case scenario or at best, done something unwise.

I don't think that at all.

You did a lot of research before you went and spent as much as that game cost 2 weeks after it released. It was pricey for a new release back then, Digital or Disc.

You had the time and the inclination to do that.

A good chunk of people however just looked at the several different versions of the game, season pass and in game currency for sale and thought "Not again, get stuffed" and left it.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is another one that did this.

 

I still don't really get your gripe Az, what sort of gamer in their right mind doesn't research a game these days before purchase, it quite clearly stated what you would get for your money if you chose to buy the season pass. I don't understand why you see
it as the developer being deceitful?

 

The majority. The gaming industry isn't making billions off self described "gamer s", it's flourishing because of casuals.

 

^^ quite possibly and that is a whole other discussion, but I stand by my point that the developer has not been dishonest about its product as Az stated further up the thread, if they had have been then that would clearly be false advertising that would
stand up in any court of law if challenged but the fact remains people knew exactly what they were getting when they purchased the game because all the information was available to see.
