quit out of the xbox live preview program

You should be able to do it from the console itself (Insider hub) or to ask for it from the

dedicated forums.

It's called the Insider program now. You can remove your console from the program by using any Xbox One console with the Xbox Insider Hub installed. To stop participating in the program on that console, launch the Xbox Insider Hub app and go to
Settings > Manage Devices. From there, you can unenroll any console registered to you.

Note Unenrollment can take up to 72 hours to complete, during which time you may still receive console, game, or app updates. When the unenrollment process is complete, your console may be reset to factory defaults. If resetting your console to factory
defaults is required, your data will not be erased.

Being invited by a friend to the preview doesn't guarantee access I'm afraid. You'll need to keep out on your Xbox Live messages for communication if your are accepted into the Xbox One Update Preview. Please keep in mind that acceptance into the program
has slowed, so it may be quite some time if your are chosen.

invites to the preview program generally are not given out on the forums. These invitations are sent out by gamers already participating in the program. The best method to get invited to the preview program is to ask members on your friends list. There are
quite a few preview folks and it's likely one of your friends is a member that can send you an invite.
