    Quiet mic


    Hi.

    My son has a new, wired controller but his headsets doesn’t seem to work with it. His friends cannot hear him with one saying he can just hear him if his (friends) volume is turned all the way up.

    He can hear them and the various noises the xbox makes as you go through the menu etc

    The system can see that there is a headset plugged in.

    We have tried another controller, one that came with the console and this works as it should.

    Mic is quiet

    Hey there!

    Are you using the same controller on both consoles? If you're using the same controller and you've tried both consoles and multiple mics, I'm going to recommend getting a new controller or at least trying one.

    Yup. I tried with another mic and the same thing happened. Also, that mic did work before.

    I’m sorry for the trouble, Born2SendIt. Have you tried to check if there is an update for your controller?

    Also, if you can try a different controller or a different headset that would be great in that way we can validate if the issue is indeed the controller.
