Quick resume broke on all games after last update for Series X when restarting console

Dear Concern,

I have purchased Street Fighters IV Arcade Edition from Xbox Store from my Xbox Series X Console. After the game downloaded and installed, it was not able to run on console. Their is no error stated when try to run but game do not respond at all when select to play.

Please suggest to fix the issue.

Try to kick the game out from quick resume list and restart the game. The game will not reload dlc if you have the game on quick resume.

Hi, when you open the game in your Series X. The game starts from the quick resume / the quick resume feature is used?
Or did you open the game from the start?

The "Rush Hour" update of the game "broke" the ability to "Quick Resume"

I can second the same issue here: Xbox X with Logitech G920 / Fanatec GT DD-PRO both loose FFB after a game quick resuming. Happened on all three games I own: FH5, Grid Legends and ACC. "QUIT" the game and restart it with the wheelbase on solves the problem.

It's definitive a bug. Let's call it XboxX-noFFB-after-game-quick-resumes.

I have this issue on Series X and Series S Xboxes.

After playing on one console, then going to the other - whether an hour, 12 hours, or 24 hours later - 9 of 10 times the Error 0x80004004.

Hard reset of both Xboxes failed to fix the issue.

This article (Game Release Known Issues for September 2023 - Microsoft Community) contains nothing about this issue, why was it offered as a source for information about it?

Someone suggested disabling Quick Resume would fix it. I tried that just now. Here's what happened.

1. Loaded game on Series S (where I'd last played), updated the save, quit the game, then (this is key) removed the game from Quick Resume, and (to be safe) left the console on.
2. Went to Series X, opened the game, and the Sync happened as it should. I then played through a bit more on the most recent save, a few minutes worth.
3. Saved and Quit game on Series X, made sure to remove from Quick Access, then shut down Series X.
4. Returned to Series S, game Synced as expected.

So, this is a possible solution/workaround for the Error 0x80004004 issue.
