Quick Question

I remember back on the XBOX 360 when downloading a indie game or what not, you couldn't play a game because it would cancel the download. So my question is can I watch Netflix while Battlefield: Hardline is installing (from a disc) onto my XBOX ONE?

Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked a lot or if it's me just being stupid. I'm confused. I just ordered the 1TB Spring Bundle from Microsoft and it says on the website (and everywhere else) that the games should be digital downloads. However, there were discs in the box. I'm installing Halo 5 and it is taking a while.

Was sending me the physical discs a mistake? Did I misunderstand the item description online? Are these actually digital versions but I'm downloading from a disc instead of a code?

Side note: The box was a little crushed on one corner but everything looked fine. When updating the system when I booted it up I kept getting errors. I tried a few different restart methods and it eventually worked. Really hope nothing is wrong with the system.

A few guns that you might wanna have in stock. Id definitely would definitely recommend An anarchy smg,a unforgiven masher,combustion hellfire,pestilent defiler,and a pestilent crux should make life alot easier for you on the general knox dlc.

 

I think you can, I installed a game the other night and switched to Netflix andd it worked.

 

You should be able to now with how much RAM the Xbox One has. If you can move from a game to an app pretty easily, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

 

Install a game from disc, download updates, all while watching a video feed from one of the many Apps on the Xbox One console. I've installed games while watching videos off Netflix and YouTube. The Xbox One can run multiple apps at once, no problems at
all.

 

Yes you can do multiple things at once it may slow down the download if you're streaming Netflix at same time though

 

I always recommend installing disk games offline because it's wayyyyyyyy faster. But then Netflix wouldn't work of course. But if you were looking for a faster install, that's the way to go.

 

I'm really glad the Xbox One can still do heaps of things with games installing/downloading. I almost don't mind the longer install times because I can distract myself with another game. I used to go back to the 360 while installing, but haven't for a while
now.

 

You can, but it's still largely dependent on the speed of your Internet connection. I, for example, STILL can't do it because if I were to watch a video while downloading (while still technically possible), the video would stutter and be of such a low resolution
that it would make 240x360 look like HD... I'm exaggerating of course, but you get the idea.

I'm sure you can. Xbox 1 has 8GB DDR3 RAM which is much better than what Xbox 360 has - 512MB GDDR3 RAM. I can play Minecraft (digital version) while installing a disc version, or go watch Youtube while installing. Xbox 1 is built to multitask. One thing
I know happens on Xbox 360 is it abruptly disconnects you from Xbox Live every time there's a system or game Update - kind of harsh I know. It's even sadder when you were in an Xbox Live Party.

 

SSB, I forgot all about that! Getting disconnected due to updates while in a party on the Xbox 360 was always an annoying pain! Thanks for giving me 1 more reason to like my Xbox One even more.
