    Quick question about buying stuff from the app store on Surface


    hey guys sorry for such the long topic title.

    But i am after a dew apps from the MS store on my Surface but it asks me to add my CC or paypal for a payment method. If i buy MS points (currency now i think its called) will i be able to use that in the store or is that just to be used on the 360/One??

    How about a not in-game purchase? I'd rather buy the ad-free game from the store. In app purchases are something I avoid like the plague, do the same on the apple store. I have to touch devices, and don't want to have to buy it twice when I am only playing
    on one at a time anyway, either on my home PC or on my Surface Pro when I'm out and about.

    Outer worlds is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

    I got the same error message with Tyranny Gold Edition in the GamePass App. In the end I got it to work by going to the Windows Store and installing it from there; was quick, because it recognised the files already present on the drive. I guess it just "fixed"
    some DRM stuff, after which I could start it from the Windows Store as well and the GP app. As this was a quick and simple solution, I suggest anyone in this situation give it a try. Good luck and happy gaming!

    As far as I know, they are the same. On the official site it says:

    What can you buy with a Microsoft Gift Card?

    You can get the latest apps, games, movies and TV shows on Xbox, top games and apps on Windows, and Surface, Xbox, and accessories from Microsoft Store online.

    RT can only run apps from the Windows Store. You can run Google Chrome on Surface Pro 2.
