Quick first impressions

New modes are fun. Feels like there should be more to spend my in game money on, I pretty much unlocked everything I needed in an hour or two. Lack of heavy armor is a mixed bag, but overall I think it's fine. Lack of equipable AA weapons is not fun. The
Stinger should be a super expensive piece of gear and not just randomly placed around the map. It's a pain in the *** to run to a map item and find an RPG when you need a stinger. The Enforcer rifles have not been user friendly thus far. Makes the class very
hard to play as the alternates are shotguns on maps with enormous sight lines. Which brings me to me final gripe: snipers. It seems way too easy to snipe in Hardline. The number of times of been heasdshotted out of a speeding vehicle is ridiculous. Oh wait,
one more. Why can I not outfit my vehicles before hand? It's exceptionally stupid to make me use "live" game time to buy upgrades.

Pleased with the purchase though. Hot wire, Heist and blood money are a blast.

WARFRAME

Just gave this a quick go and first impressions are pretty good. For a free game, it's not bad at all.

 

First Impressions

This is going to be weird, but with the music and fast pace of the action, its almost as if the game is inspired more by the movies inspired by the games. lol

 

Haven't played any MP yet so thanks for the info. I've only been playing campaign and I gotta say, it's probably the only battlefield campaign that's been worth the time imo.

 

I was satisfied with the campaign. It kept my attention and I got a Bad Company vibe from it, which I also enjoyed.

MP has yet to fail me. Playing Rescue or Crosshair with friends is a blast. When you are the last survivor, the pressure is on. I normally shy away from the Last Man Standing games but these here are put together well.

Blood Money currently is my favorite mode, pure chaos and while I like to get to the stash and loot up, I find sneaking to the enemies vault even more satisfying.

Overall I am more than happy with this game. And to think I almost passed on this one!

 

Here is my opinion(key word being opinion)This is my first BF game. It sucks. It's awful. I don't like it. The multiplayer to me is terrible. More than half of my total deaths have come via spawn kill. I agree, sniping is awful. I'm just not enjoying it
at all. Oh well, i bought the ultimate edition, so i may as well play it(kicking myself hard for wasting $120)

Did previous BF games suck this bad?

 

Game plays well but there is a crazy amount of jagged edges and stuff showing all over every map very annoying.

 

legionnaire you can choose where to spawn . watch the map and your squad mates picture and you should not get spawn killed as much! I agree the spawn killing can be a issue on team deathmatch because the maps are to small for 64 players so if that is what
you are playing try conquest and choose your spawns carefully!(just my opinion)

 

Boot61 is right. Spawn kills aren't really an issue except in TDM where I agree the maps are simply to small for 64 players in a lot of cases. I typically dont get insta scrapped in HW or CON or BM unless my dumb *** spawns into a firefight that I shouldn't
have.

I'm not a big graphics guy so I guess I don't really notice quality issues. I haven't seen the jagged edges others have mentioned. I will say that after playing Dying Light, I don't understand why every game doesn't allow me to mantle sheds and waist high
fences. It's really obnoxious when I have to run fifty yards to round a cement instead of jumping over it.

 

@ Legionaire- With any Battlefield there is a learning curve, even for vets to a certain degree. You don't just pick it up and pull MVP every other round. If you're fairly new to the franchise in general you need to understand that YOU WILL DIE.... A LOT.
And depending on how fast you learn, this could go on for a while. Also understand that Hardline is not your typical Battlefield either. It has similarities, but I find that I have to approach scenarios and situations differently.

Take the time to understand and learn how the spawn system works. I can complain about a lot of the problems with any of the Battlefield games, but spawning has never been one of them. If you find you're getting sniped a lot, find cover, get in a structure
of some kind or just keep moving. I've learned that snipers are only useful for sniping other snipers. That's just my experience with them. They're almost a non-issue to me anymore, a minor nuisance if anything and I only get dropped buy one if I ever do the
opposite of what I said earlier.

I'm sure there are a lot of experienced players on here that can give you more helpful tips. Don't give up on it. Keep plugging away until that proverbial light switch flips on. Find a group to run with. It's always a better experience when you're with a
group. There is still a lot about the franchise to learn and I want to see you to get a positive $120 worth of experience out of it. Once you understand that there will be some learning pains before you find any real success, maybe your approach and experience

It's unfortunate really. I read posts like that more times than not and most just don't realize what they got themselves into. There's so much more to this franchise than a bloated KDR.

I've gone 2-14 at times and still managed to pull MVP over opponents and teammates that finish 40-3. I'm not even trying to pull MVP out, I'm simply trying to save tickets, it just worked out that way.

I just hope that their approach and mindset changes because once that happens it's a different game... for the better.

 

I agree spud. If you can find a squad that works as a team it can change the way a new person to Bf views the game.

 

I didn't say i think it sucks cuz i die alot. I just said 1/2 of my deaths were spawn kills. As far as my k/d goes, i could care less really. I knew it would take some getting used to, since this is my first BF game. But, I just like playing with people.
If that means i'll die alot, so be it. You won't see me losing sleep at night if my team lost because of my excessive dying(i do get some rather colorful messages from some of you try hards). I think it sucks for a few reasons. Yes, spawn killing is one them.
The rest, i'll keep to myself as i don't intend to have a debate with someone. I am new to the series. It's not what i expected. I personally, from an FPS perspective, am not having fun. Thats just how i feel. But, since i got it digitally, i'm stuck with
it. May as well keep playing it. At least Bungie can rest easy knowing there is something worse than Destiny(My opinion)

Stick with it legionaire, Just keep playing and once the penny drops you will love it, try different game modes and loadouts.. I was the same after years of playing call of duty and splashed out on bf3 (my first)... battlefield is a whole different mindset
if you like, and it's a very steep learning curve for the beginner, very steep, but the rewards are so much greater.. (imo)
