  1. Quick Charge Kit won't charge one of my battery packs.

Recently I ordered a Quick Charge Kit from Amazon as it seemed more practical than the 3rd party charging cradle I already have, and my play and charge cables have given up on actually charging the battery years ago now. Anyway it works fine for the battery
pack that came with it and one of my own, but for some reason won't work with my red battery pack. I have tested both sides of the quick charge kit and they're both working fine, but neither will work with this particular battery pack. The charging light just
stays off when I put this battery in it.

I first thought that the battery pack must be faulty then, but it'll charge with my charging cradle and work fine in my controller when it's not plugged into anything. All of these battery packs are 1st party official Microsoft products, same as the quick
charge kit, the only other battery pack it wont work with is a Gamestop one I have that isn't in great condition. What can I do to fix this?

    :)

    battery pack issues

this is your best bet trust I had the same issue, buy yourself the Official Xbox quick charge kit. The charge doesn't charge the battery pack right I guess it has some kind of sensor in it but the charge kit doesn't it won't stop charging your battery like
the wire does I have 2 batteries that won't charge with wire only with the charge kit, get it, its pretty cheap and it comes with a new battery

Which is best for FPS wired or Wireless Controller

Get a Play n' Charge one and you can have the best of both worlds.

Well to be honest, the only people that really should be using a play and charge kit are the people who only own one controller and one battery pack. This is quite obvious the advantage to them.

There is absolutely no reason to use a play and charge kit when you own 2 battery packs, and/or controllers because what you do is you always keep the charged pack in the cradle or 2nd controller while using the other one. That way you
always have one fully charged battery on hand at all times and you will never be without a battery pack and have to endure the very long wait time it takes to charge with the play and charge kit... especially when you are playing at the same time.

Again, the play and charge kit as far as I'm concerned was designed for people who only own a single battery pack. A much better option is to invest in the New black quick charge kit and an extra battery pack (giving you 2 battery packs total) while always
keeping a fully charged pack on hand. Not only that but the Quick Charge Kit is over twice as fast as a play and charge kit.

Play n' charge kit - 6 to 12 hours depending on if you are using it while it is charging

Quick charge kit - Less than 2 hours for a single pack, Less than 4 hours for 2 packs being charged simutaneously.

This is a no brainer. Quick charge is the much better option hands down, and why anyone would rather be tethered to console like the PS3 is beyond me. IMO that wireless controller isn't really a true wireless controller if you charge it with the play and
charge. Seriously as soon as I got 2 battery packs, it makes absolutely no sense to use the play and charge kit ever again.

New controller is killing my battery packs

actually there is a fix I had the same issue I have a red battery pack and when I charge it with the cable the light turns red to green fast and holds no charge.but then I bought thexbox official guick charge kit charges two batterie packs at a time. After
I got it it fully charges the packs. Its probably cheaper to buy new battery pack but the quick charge kit is pretty awesome. Charges better than the regular battery pack charger.

    Controller Battery Pack

I have started taking the battery pack out of the controller, but I don't understand if there's no power going to the console, then why is the battery pack still losing charge? That's why I thought it was faulty.

BTW it's not the plug and play charge kit I have but the quick charge kit.

New controller is killing my battery packs

Thanks dude, it worked. However, it only managed to charge one of the batteries, my newer black one is still dead.

At least the quick charge kit came with a spare, so I now have two working battery packs again :)
