Quick bit of info on the headset adapter

I ordered mine on the microsoft store in the uk and it arrived on wednesday. The official uk release day is 14th march.

I have just seen that is also now out of stock on the microsoft store i am happy with it and is worth the price if you have a expensive headset.

 

@FATAL i got my adaptor today but its in the royal mail sorting office as i was on the bog lol as they delivered it got my tv kinect mount aswell

 

I got mine from EB Games (Gamestop)... They were the only ones who had it yesterday (the 8th in Australia, the original release date was the 13th).

The buzzing was only due to the USB being connected... If your controller is fully charged and you don't need the USB connected, then there's no static/buzzing.

If anyone else comes across any helpful info regarding the adapter, please add to the thread.

Fatal the atlas is wireless to the x1 just like the others. I'm using it love it. It has a cord if you want to use it for PC or 360 or watch tv not through the xbox. Btw on the old headsets with adapter is almost painful for party members hope they
fix it soon. Atlas doesn't do this btw just old headsets with adapter.

 

NOTHING BEATS a soldering gun and YouTube. Which is cheaper than the adapter I might add.

 

I just picked up the adapter yesterday. It seems to be working well with my tb xp500's. I want to pick up a new wire though. I'm using my x41 wire at the moment. It has an inline chat switch and so I am looking into just a wire.

I found the PS4 ear force wire which has a 3.5 jack on one end and a 2.5 jack on the other end with no inline chat switch. This wire would also eliminate the need for the extra little adapter wire. My question is will it work with the xbox one?

I'm gonna have to buy it and find out I guess. Otherwise I'll just return it.

@endless I can confirm that cable works I use it for chat on ps4 and it also works on the xbox one with adapter.

Guessing you didn't read my post? I've got X12's... No issues for me.

Only issue was some buzzing for other party members if I was charging the controller via the USB, or didn't turn off the Kinect for chat option.

My wired X12's were Crystal. Not sure why others are having trouble.

It is? Huh. All the pictures show it with a cord. If it's wireless, how does it connect to Xbox One? Sorry, never had a wireless headset of this kind. I had an earpiece, and that was it.

 

@ endless war i was also using my x41 chat cable and have switched to the ps4 cable as i can control all the volume from the adapter.

 

I cant chat at all with x42 and tried everything

 

I just found this... I didn't do it this way, but as I said, I've not had any issues with my X12's. I didn't even know this was a way of doing the update.

If you are having problems and haven't already tried it this way, but decide to give it a go, please post the results.
