Quick bit of info on the headset adapter

Sorry for the new headset adapter thread, but I just got mine and found out a couple of things.

1: The adapter does work with TB X11's. Although their site didn't show the X11's (they showed the DX11's) they do work. I have X12's and they are on the list of supported headsets, and chat sounds clear and crisp.

2: You do get some buzzing with the plug-n-play USB attached. It's more noticeable for others in the party than it is for you... So just a courtesy heads up.

3: Ensure the "Use Kinect for chat" checkbox is unchecked. It seems to ignore that the headset is plugged in, and the Kinect still picks up your voice.

4: The 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter is a bit... How to put it... In the way. It sticks out a bit, but this is just a small gripe.

All in all, with the controller update and the adapter, I'm a happy camper again and can chat in the way I've been accustomed to.

As was said, just the same headphones branded for X1 with an adapter. Now, if the Sevens are in my price range at launch I'll still get em, but for other people who might already have a set of either earphones these are based on, there's no point the way

It's a shame that the Atlas is a wired one. I'd prefer to do away with cords, but the wireless ones get ridiculous in terms of cost. I already have X12s, so if I just keep them I'd save about £100 on the Atlas... hmmm.

 

Decisions decisions... Whatever you decide, at least you can now enjoy proper chat again.

 

Then again those are seriously cool looking... but I've never needed the latest and greatest headset... I could afford it with petty cash this month though, as I'm going to get a double pay cheque because of a lucrative bonus... I had planned to pick up
a PS4 initially but had a change of heart a while back... could I use a new Turtle Beach? Maybe the new Pad as well? Go totally Titanfall? Gah... can't decide. Too much good Xbox One stuff going at the moment.

Yes, I told my wife, not going to purchase any Titanfall goodies, but she said they look really cool. Yes, she twisted my arm, I now have the Controller and TB Atlas headset.

I know this sounds stupid, but where can you find one of these things? I want to just stop by the store and pick one up, but I can't find anyone who has them in stock?
