Questions regarding Xbox insider *levels?* and being able to play free games without live.

1. Yes, you can play single play without a Gold or Game Pass Subscription.

2. If you buy on the Microsoft Store, the game will remain yours.

3. Free to play games do not need a subscription to play. (even Free to Play multiplayer).

4. Yes you can watch YouTube on the Xbox, as well as other streaming services.

While the game is free to play you are still using the xbox live servers to play online and that requires a lot of funding to run.

This question comes up a lot but i don't ever see F2P games being allowed to use xbox live without paying for the gold subscription.

Im not saying xbox live should be free but being able to play fortnite without any memberships like the ps4 shoukd be allowed

Games that have a single player campaign (like the ones you mentioned) do not need any subscription to play them. You only need to start thinking about Xbox Live Gold is if you want to play a game that has online co-op or multiplayer. But... free to play multiplayer games (e.g. Fortnite) do not need Xbox Live Gold to play online. It's only games they you purchase that have an online element to them that needs this subscription.

• Another question would be, if I buy a game on the xbox store, will it remain mine, like in my library on my account, without paying monthly or yearly to keep it?
  

Games that you purchase from the Xbox store are yours to own and they are linked to your Microsoft account. So, if you got a new console in the future, you could download the game again. No subscription required.

If you haven't already, look into
Gold sharing features. You can set the old Xbox One as the "Home" console under your account, and just log in normally with your new Xbox One X. This way, you'll be able to play PUBG together with only one Gold subscription and one digital purchase of PUBG.
