Questions re: Xbox One Gold and Easy Access

I apologize if these answers are already out there (guessing they are), but I can't find the exact info that I'm looking for. We have TWO Xbox Ones in our home and two kids. We have Xbox Live Gold. Based on what I read, it seems they can share the account.
Can they play on each of their separate machines using the same account and playing different games? Also, I noticed that we have Easy Access at $4.99/month and Xbox One Gold Live at $59.99/year. Is there a reason we'd need both? Thank you!!!

    :)

XBOX One Online Features Need XBOX Live Gold

I've seen the XBOX One reveal, and I saw that most of the features they were showing off was already available in the XBOX 360 console with Gold.

So the question is, does XBOX One need Gold in order for me to access
    Cloud
, Multiplayer, and other online features?

    Xbox Live for Xbox One?

If you're referring to the need of Gold to access Hulu, Netflix, etc then the answer is yes. They have already confirmed this themselves

Questions re: Xbox One Gold and Easy Access

You can only sign into an account on one console at a time. So in order for them to play at the same time, they would each need their own account. Also, sharing accounts is actually a violation of the code of conduct. They can share games and gold though
    through the Home setting.

I think by Easy Access you mean EA Access. Technically you don't need both EA Access and gold. EA Access just lets you have access to EA games for free or discounts on their games. A gold subscription is what allows you to play online multiplayer, access
Games with Gold, and access Deals with Gold.

  5. ok couple of things to add to what Smwutches has said and some helpful links.

    1. You definitely want them to have their own accounts so that they have their own progress in games and so if they want to play at the same time on the two different consoles they can.

    2. You can set a console as a profiles home console and any digital game that profile purchased and any subscription that profile has can be shared with any profile on that console. Link for info on home xbox:

My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

    3. EA access think of as a Netflix type subscription for EA games Here is a link for info on that: this subscription can be bought at a yearly price of 29.99

    EA Access | Xbox One

    4. Microsoft also has what is called the game pass which again is like a Netflix subscription but for all xbox games not just EA games like the EA access subscription. this right now can only be purchased monthly for 9.99

    Xbox Game Pass | Xbox

now with the 2 game pass type subscriptions like Netflix removes some movies and tv shows from their service so does Microsoft and EA

Xbox live gold expire at 05/2020, but it doesn't connect anymore

    Hello there,

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. Just to clarify, you cancelled Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold and now you cannot access Xbox live Gold? Did you cancel the subscriptions through the website? When you cancel Xbox Live Gold you
will lose access to Online capabilities and won't be able to play until you re-establish the subscription.

If you have any other questions please feel free to reply back letting us know. Thank you again for posting on Xbox Forums.

do we get to kep the free XBLA games on xbox one or do we lose them when the month is over?

Once you no longer have Gold you lose access to the GWG games. However when you re-up your Gold you will have access to them again, the ones you already downloaded that are no longer free.

    Xbox live gold

    Hi there,

As your friend purchased the games, he will have to re-purchase a Gold subscription to access the games again. Xbox 360 titles are to keep permanently, but you lose access to the Xbox One games if your
subscription lapses. If you re-subscribe, your friend will have access again.

To access the games yourself, you will have needed to redeem the games to your account, where you will have a license for each.

    Hope this helps,
