1. Can I connect speakers to the Xbox One via the USB ports?

2. Why doesn't the Xbox One have any 3.5mm ports?

3. Anyone know any HDMI female/male to 3.5mm female port cables/adapters?

Lance, Thank you for answering my question. I have just one more concerning the Xbox one's alternate port: I When configuring my router, do I set this port as TCP, UDP,<or both, or Other?

Xbox One blu ray playback quality

Trying to free up some space in my Av cabinet and also reduce the spaghetti junction of cables that sits behind it.

Thinking of ditching my standalone blu ray player and just using my Xbox One. My only concern is losing the HD audio formats. I've just ordered a new receiver so would prefer that to do the decoding.

My question is will I really notice the difference between the 5.1 uncompressed option on the Xbox and the HD audio I'm used to? Is it simply that the Xbox is doing the decoding so I still would be getting HD audio in a sense?

I know you cant predict the future but what are the chances of the Xbox getting a true bitstream update at some point?

1. Unfortunately the sound board on the Box 1 does not support USB audio features.

2. Size and space limited the ability to utilize every "nice" feature to have.

3. To my knowledge no one makes such an adaptor.

For #2, if you have a chat adaptor connected to your controller you can use that 3.5mm jack to connect a headset.

I believe this will work with the xbox one, but not positive. Anyone else have thoughts?

They definitely will not bring this back. Maybe the generation AFTER the Xbox One about 8 years from now will have all the DRM and 24 hour stuff ... but this console won't. They also said your Xbox One will know when it is close to overheating and it will
make the necessary changes so RROD does not happen. Not sure that I believe that, but it doesn't matter to me anyways because I have never gotten RROD and don't plan on it.
