  1. Questions about selling my Xbox one!

I am selling my Xbox One to buy the new Halo collection edition Xbox One and I have some questions that trouble me.

    1. Will my digital games be available on my new Xbox ready to be install? And will all the data from game saves and etc. still be there?

    2. What about my physical copy games, what will I have to do to get all my data for those games or will they be already available in the cloud and all I have to do is start playing where I left off?

    :)

  2. Question on selling my xbox one

It is only recommended to sell the Xbox console after it has been completely reformatted, and sell only the physical games if you decide to bundle it.

There should be no ties to your Microsoft account left on the Xbox once you sell it. Digital content is linked to your Microsoft account, and their licenses are not transferable. In fact, if you haven't already, you should
remove the Xbox from your Microsoft account.

Reformatting the Xbox One will clear the hard drive of all game installs and saved profile information. If you decide to get another Xbox One console in the future, you will be able to log in with your Microsoft account again and get all of your digital
content back via re-download. This includes purchased digital games, DLC, and your cloud saves.

It is against the Microsoft Services Agreement to sell your account details, and it carries the risk of getting your account and/or console banned, leading to a frustrated buyer that will try to get their money back from you.

Some people may sell their gamertags on places like eBay, sometimes in the form of a heavily discounted digital game with the condition of only being accessible with specific account details, but that is actually against the website's Terms of Use and those
    listings usually get taken down.

Question on selling my xbox one

It is a violation of the code of conduct/terms of service to sell digital goods. So technically it is possible, but you are putting the new owners at risk of just having everything banned. It's best to just reformat everything.

Even formatting the hard drive, the licenses may still be attached to the console. You would need to remove your Home setting from the console in order to remove any game licenses.

Questions about selling my Xbox one!

    Hi BlockishCargo3,

    1. Will my digital games be available on my new Xbox ready to be install? And will all the data from game saves and etc. still be there? Your games saves and licenses you purchased (digital games and apps) on your account will remain with your account.
They are not tied to the Xbox in any way.

    2. What about my physical copy games, what will I have to do to get all my data for those games or will they be already available in the cloud and all I have to do is start playing where I left off? You will need to reinstall all your games. That
said, provided you play games online all your saves will be in tact.

Also I would suggest doing a
    factory reset here
and NOT logging back in before you sell the console.

    Hi BlockishCargo3,

Your game saves are saved in the cloud. If Xbox is connected to the internet you should be fine. That's what is happening when you see a "Syncing Data" sometimes.
