Hi there non preview members will have to wait til holiday 2015 for backwards compatibility to arrive it is currently in preview. As far as the online question that would solely be up to the developer of said game at that point and time.

I should've expected that, anything to do with Microsoft involves buying the same product multiple times.

Hey, ArggoNunya! Backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games is only available for the Xbox One, not Windows 10. Any games that you have purchased on the Xbox 360 that you would like to play on your Windows 10 PC would need to be purchased again.

As for the sign in issues, do you receive any error codes with that? We'll be able to start from there to see if we can get that to stop happening for you. Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no backward compatibility between games you purchased digitally on Xbox 360 and Windows 10. However, if an Xbox 360 game is supported by backward compatibility on Xbox One, and you own an Xbox One console, you can play it on your Windows
10 device with game streaming via the Xbox app.

Regarding the issue you described launching the Xbox app and being prompted to sign in, can you try this with the Xbox (beta) app, and then after encountering it submit feedback by selecting the menu in the top left corner and navigating to Feedback?

This will send us a snapshot of data from your device and allow us to investigate this further.
