    No it can be done with the double tap to snap feature. Smart glass will be probably make it easier though. From what I have read they are integrating a guide menu into the snap centre that will work the same as the Xbox 360 guide menu.

    Even if you can snap "record that" you will still miss your 30 sec clip window and probably be recording yourself accessing the snap menu. You will be better of to select "end clip 1 min". Still saying is quicker and easier.

    ohh OK Aus.. I use the Kinect on a regular basis and would be lost of I had to "press" buttons

    I seriously can not imagine my Xbox without the Kinect.

    I was extremely hesitant and skeptical regarding the Kinect 2.0. But I trusted MS and the Xbox Team enough to give it a try. And I am glad I did.

    Let me ask this for those that do not use the kinect.... Do you not use it thinking you still get some kind of power "boost" and your XB1 performs better with it not plugged in... I ask this as I know of people that still believe it...

    Yes you can say "record that" if you have your kinect plugged in. Just like always.

    The performance of the console is the same regardless whether it has a kinect connected or not.

    I haven't used My kinect since around January, I don't miss it at all because I never enjoyed using it. The X1 is slowly becoming more and more controller friendly with each new update. So yes OP, you will be fine.

    The console functions and works fine without the kinect. I have a kinectless console.

    Kinectless console is pointless, but thats just my opinion.

    To me its worth it for just 'xbox record that' I can continue to play without any snapping rubbish
