Question regarding lg sound bar setup with multiple systems and xbox audio!

Hello everyone, my question is that im having a hard time figuring out what the best way to setup up my entertainment system pretty much. I have a xb1 and dont get mad but a ps4 that i hardly use anyway, i have a 55 inch lg tv with a 4.1 lg sound bar
with wireless sub that my gf just got me! My question is the way i have it set now im not sure if it is the best and not sure what audio settings i need to have it on on the xb1 settings section. Right now i have, the xbox one hdmi connected to my time warner
cable box, another hdmi to the tv obviously. kinect is connected, also have my sound bar connected to the tv to output the audio from the tv to the sound bar via hdmi (arc) some times the arc goes away and i have to replug the arc to come back on, but i read
arc may be more higher in quality over optical? it is also nice to controll the volume with just one remote as when i say xbox volume up it doesnt go up at all. as for the audio settings i have it set on

HDMI audio - stereo uncompressed

Optical audio- bitstream out

Bitstream format- dolby digital

Sound bars..

Any sound bar with a wireless subwoofer is a good combination. LG sells some 2.1 sound bar configurations at up to 300w and i own a 5.1 HT system from them so they are a good brand. Samsung does too, mostly the same as LG if not more or less. Polk audio
and Bose have some and they are big audio acoustics names.

I would try to find a sound bar from someone who DOESN'T sell HDTV's (LG, Samsung, etc) so that you get nothing but audio quality in mind for your money.

360 digital audio not working with Bose sound bar

I just connected a Bose sound bar to my Xbox 360. The tv sound works just fine through the sound bar however I'm not hearing any audio output from my Xbox now. The funny thing is, when the xbox optical audio is directly connected to the sound bar, the
audio works just fine. Does anyone know of any patches or did Microsoft send out an update that would have screwed up the digital audio output when connected to home entertainment systems?
