Question re sharing?

Hi,

I'm not very clued up when it comes to Xbox consoles/ Live, etc, but I have a question that hopefully someone can assist with.

At the moment I have a Xbox one, which has a Xbox Live sub.

My daughter, who lives in a different location also has a Xbox one, but doesn't have an Xbox Live sub.

When she's at her mum's house, she just logs in as me, this allows her to play Fortnite, etc.

Is it possible for me to create a separate account (gamertag) for her, so she can sign in on her console and also share my Xbox Live subscription?

This would also allow me to play against her using other games.

Basically in a nutshell

No matter what console a profile is signed into it will always be able to use its subscriptions and play any digital games it owns.

Each profile can set ONE console at a time as its HOME console and any other profile on that console can then use its subscriptions and play any of its digital games.

Keep in mind You can switch which console is set as a profiles HOME console ONLY FIVE times a year.

So in your situation:

If you set the console at her mothers as your profiles home console and set her up with her own profile/account she would be able to use your gold and play any digital games you own on the xbox at her moms.

The thing is this when she is at your house if she wants to play any of your digital games or use your gold while the console at her moms is the home console she would have to be signed into your profile AND her profile at the same time.

Because she has Fortnite attached to my gamertag, I think the best option is for me to create a new gamertag for myself and let her retain the original one, that way she won't loose any of the purchases she's made re Fortnite.

 

That would be correct and ANY other game progress that she has done on any other game.
