    Question on hooking up to Direct TV and quality.


    Ok so I got a SAMSUNG Plasma Smart TV. I also have DIRECT TV WITH DVR.

    I have heard that If I hook the XB1 up via a HDMI that I loose quality. is this true?

    Also any other pros or cons on hooking it up??

    I'm not sure how to change reduce quality to rgb and not sure I want lower video quality. I just direct connected stb to tv and problem is solved.

    Hey there Destroyer, you shouldn't lose any quality. If you had multiple devices chained together between your console and TV then yes, quality will degrade because of the number of devices and cables that the feed needs to pass through.

    With a basic setup of TV and Set Top Box like what you're describing, you should be alright. =)

    i hooked up my xbox 360 kinect to my samsung smart tv via hdmi cable and the quality doesn't change. my problem is having to use 4 remotes to watch a movie on my xbox. do you have any suggestions?

    i hooked up my xbox 360 kinect to my samsung smart tv via hdmi cable and the quality doesn't change. my problem is having to use 4 remotes to watch a movie on my xbox. do you have any suggestions?

    Two big issues I noticed with watching TV on Xbox One

    I'm going to be that guy........ mine works 100%. Picture looks the same via X1 or hooked up direct to TV.

    Cannot Enable 3D BluRay

    Xbox must be connected through a high speed HDMI cable and cannot be hooked through a non 3d reciever.(must be direct to TV) I have 55 inch Samsung ju7700 Yamaha receiver. In Xbox settings the allow 3d ticker stays grey till I hook it up direct.
