Question: Microsoft Treasure Hunt Freezes After First Click.

Hi,

I just download the game, Microsoft Treasure Hunt, from Microsoft Store today on my laptop. I am able to open the game successfully.

However, after I opened the game, in the tutorial run, if I select any blocks and press "space" or "enter", or use left-mouse button to click, the game freezes and crush.

My device is a personal laptop with newest version of Win 10.

For more information: I played Microsoft Minesweeper, everything worked fine excepted the "Adventure" option. It was not working, just like Microsoft Treasure Hunt.

As I am reviewing the feedback on this game, I see no other players as this kind of problem.

Minesweeper Adventure Gold

I'm afraid I may have mixed stuff from 2 different games: Minesweeper adventure mode and Microsoft treasure hunt which is a "standalone" evolution of the first. The "greedy mummy shop" I was referring to in my previous post was actually added in the treasure
hunt game, so in adventure mode you only collect gold to score points.

If you like the mode and the shop idea, I suggest you try out also Microsoft treasure hunt which is free as the classic minesweeper game and part of the Microsoft casual game family.

Sorry about the confusion and my initial mistake.

Can you open the Xbox App on Windows 10 and click on Settings to make sure you're properly logged in? Might also want to click the Network tab in Settings to make sure the Services are listed as Up and Running.

If everything looks good there, I'd recommend going to Windows 10 Settings > Apps > Microsoft Treasure Hunt and click "Advanced Options" Then on that page, scroll down a bit and click "Reset". Let it do it's thing, then reboot your computer and try again.

Let me know if you're still getting any errors on the app.

First, to answer your question. how to get back existing progress on Minesweeper Adventure.

Open the Microsoft Store app.
Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the app.
Click on “Downloads and updates”.
Click on “Get updates”.
If there is an update available for Minesweeper/Adventure, click on “Update”.
Open Minesweeper/Adventure and check if your progress has been restored.

Second, to purchase an ad free version of the new Treasure Hunt game.
