Question for all you Xbox One owners?

Hey everyone Question for all you Xbox One owners? :) I have been debating on if I should bother saving up the money for an Xbox One console. I have always owned a PlayStation console. I have almost all PlayStation's except the PlayStation1. I have been thinking though of trying out an Xbox.
I have never owned an Xbox console before. Just PlayStation. I would like to own one for its exclusives and for possibly online gaming. I love PlayStation, but I would like to try out Xbox too! I would like to try out both consoles. Who knows, if I like the
Xbox One better, maybe next generations console I will go with Xbox instead!

I just want to know if its worth it. Do I bother investing in an Xbox One? What are some of the features of the Xbox One? What is your favorite thing about the Xbox One? Is Xbox Live Gold worth it?

Thanks for any information and help.

    :)

    A question for you all

These achievements are for Episode 1. There will be an Episode 2 released later, and by all given press material released thus far, it will be played from Elizabeth's point of view, and not Booker's. Expect Episode 2 to have its own set of achievements.

You can select which chapter of Episode 1 you'd like to play if you need to go back and finish those achievements, btw. When you select
Burial at Sea from the menu, it will give you the option to load a chapter.

    A question for you all

the achievements for burial at sea are they for just episode 1 or they for episode 1 and 2 the turrets and the upgrade achievement I am sure I could get replaying the game but the audio log achievement thought perhaps that was a episode 1 and 2. be glad
to hear anything about that answer

Question for all you Xbox One owners?

I like the X1 controller better and really like the Kinect for voice commands and Skype. Nothing wrong with either system...buy what makes you happy. In my case, it was both systems. Was toying with buying a Wii U, but they delayed Zelda; can't really say
there is anything else I want to play on that system.

    Peace, J.R.

  5. I guess it is all just personal. I like the online gaming on Xbox better than PlayStation. I actually also like the Xbox One interface better. Not a fan of that big line of stuff across the PlayStation and prefer to pin my favorites on the Xbox One.

I have to say there are some games on both that I just would not want to miss. So I would not want to miss out on either console.

    Some features I like:

External HDD. We share our consoles but my oldest son has certain games he plays with friends. So, I leave those on the internal. The external I can move to different consoles and sign in and play if I want.

I like the pin feature where I can pin things I use a lot. I have some games and such there. Very useful for digital purchases.

I like how often MS is adding features and the update preview where they are testing new features regularly. That lets you have an idea of what is going on.

I like how easy, at least IMO, the dash is to use. Even without Kinect.

Other things as well. Some related to Win10 and Xbox One together. Not to mention when buying in you do get a game and GWG provides some nice titles at times if you like them. I have downloaded a few that were totally worth $$ for free and played them.

  7. Take a look at the games on the One that are out now. Then take a look at those that will be in the console in the future.

If those two things look attractive to you, then yes you should get a Xbox One.

There is no point in spending the money on the console if there is nothing you are going to want to play on it.

Question for all you Xbox One owners?

I have both but barely touch the ps4 only use it for MLB the show currently all the games that aren't exclusive I get on the One simply because I like the controller more and I think the One has better exclusives as of now anyway. Can't wait for uncharted
    on the ps4

All consoles are great in there own ways, depending on what you like/prefer.

The Xbox One is a fantastic console. The Kinect 2.0 is truly remarkable. From voice commands both in and out of game (perfect uses in Dead Rising 3 and Ryse Son of Rome), to Skype (seeing a friend's reaction in a game is even better while playing Co op
on Skype), streaming on Twitch. Not to mention the motion control which is quite under appreciated. But it is fun on an occasional basis (Kinect Sports Rivals).

Xbox Live is truly a great place to game. I don't think anyone can truly knock Xbox Live. It is the King of online communities.

Some of the things I LIKE about Xbox 1 is 1) Kinect and the stuff you can do with it (it's more than just one or two things) 2) Zoo Tycoon, Kinect Sports Rivals, and Forza and Halo and Project Spark and Screamride are exclusive to Xbox 3) Microsoft purchased
Minecraft, they're just as interested in the game as me 4) They have an open ear on feedback. When Xbox 1 launched, they got a lot of hate about how it missed lots of features which Xbox 360 has. 5) You can use your profile on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 and retain
    everything, achievements, friends, etc.

I have had Xbox 1 since launch, and can honestly say Xbox 1 has improved, but I still want them to make the UI more kid friendly (I don't like Windows 8 UI too boxy, snap, having to do hard resets, it can be laggy at times - this is due to the software not
your ISP). Xbox 1 is still missing voice messages they said they would bring it out in the April Update and know Xbox 360 and the competition may have it.

If you haven't tried out Xbox 360 ever.... I'd say you should give it a shot. That platform has been really successful. Some of the things which Microsoft received a lot of feedback is how Xbox 1 missed so many features which Xbox 360 has, don't worry, they
brought back most of them. I also love the feel of the Xbox 1 controller, the only ~ thing I can't get over is some psychopath put something in the controller to make it vibrate like a magnitude 20 earthquake. Sometimes I can get a joke out of it, but give
the controller to a 7 year old girl and see how they react. At launch, it felt like a console suited for just middle aged people who didn't mind it missed half the things 360 can do, and I would have given it a rating of 5/10. But now, I give it a 7.5/10.
Things they need is to make the UI less Windows 8, voice messaging I've checked my console (no update required) and a chat pad. Microsoft needs to take into account that a variety of age groups are on Xbox and to have things out which we like (not just what
the company thinks). Xbox Live Gold is worth it and it's fairly priced too compared to the bills your family may get. Games still look good on it.

I personally prefer Playstation, but the xbox one is a good console with a lot of good exclusive that you can catch up on and a lot coming out this fall. MS constantly updates the UI with features, but I have to hard reboot a lot for freezes and other stuff.
Both the PS4 and Xbox one HDD will fill up fast. Xbox one's external drive support is a saver. Multiplayer is pretty much the same, with dedicated servers here and there on xbox as well as better voice chat. Don't get sucked into the smart match, cloud...ect.
It hasn't materialized yet. Either way you'll have a blast playing.

  12. I just wanted to point out that these freezing, lagging Ui, hard boot issues , do not effect everyone .

I gave my wife my Ps4 , as it was a waste just sitting there , she loves it tho .

    The kinnect is good .

I like the Ui , the front page has your recently used apps/ games , 1 click left , is a page full of your pins ....simple .

Gold is well worth it , Just the discounts alone , have More than refunded the anual fee...In my case .

The pad isn't good imo tho , I sometimes get " flex " , and a crunching noise ...in intense battles.

Question for all you Xbox One owners?

Thanks to you all for the replies! So far, I am really liking the thought of owning an Xbox One! I like the snap feature. It sounds pretty awesome. It'd be great for some games where you get stuck on a part and have to resort to YouTube to help out! Question for all you Xbox One owners? :D My
PS4 can be pretty laggy and just today when I went into settings nothing showed up. Couldn't click on anything! Kinda worried about that! Either way, I feel like Live might have better multiplayer than the PS4. I will end up having to pay for it myself, console
and online. My mom told me when she bought my PS4 for Christmas it was the last one she was buying for me. So it's up to me now! Question for all you Xbox One owners? :p

I am just worried about paying for online. I am only 16 and I plan on getting a job this summer, but I am just afraid I won't be able to pay for it always :/ I was debating on getting a 360, but I feel like Xbox One is better. But then again, 360 is pretty
cheap compared to One. My friend told me to trade in my PS3 or sell it, but I love it to death and love the games. Not happening!

Snap is one of my favorite features, comes in handy when tracking achievements and then the ability to search for walk throughs on TrueAchievements is fantastic, but as stated in some of the posts above, look at the games, otherwise it will be a waste of
money if there aren't games you're interested in, and you can normally find good deals for Gold subscriptions online, Amazon has been selling 12 months for $36 US.

There are some cons, it seems to vary from person to person, my biggest problem was with party chat, but that seems to have been fixed with the most recent update, some complain about about the install times for games, a lot of games this generation have
massive day one patches and the X1 tries to download them before it installs from the disc, sometimes taking hours, other than that the system has a few bugs that can be resolved by rebooting the system, some users report having to reboot several times a day,
I personally keep my X1 in instant on mode and rarely have to reboot, seems to be getting less and less, like a few times a month. The controller feels cheaper than the 360 controller because you can feel it flex a little when you really grip it, but it honestly
seems better built than the 360 because my day one controller is hardly showing any wear, and with the 360 I was buying a new controller about once a year.

If you have a friend that owns one, it would be best to get some hands on time with it, it's a great console, but it's not for everyone.
