Question about Xbox in assistance and personal data

I've recently sent my Xbox One to Microsoft for repairing, due to a problem with the console not booting up and maybe a hard drive fail. Since I could not get to the main menu, i sent the console with the hard drive full of games and personal data so I would
like to know: if they're going to send back a different console can I be sure that they will completely erase every content in my broken console, games and personal data? Will I be able to set another console as "My Xbox Home" and retrieve all my data and
content logging with my account on the new console? Thanks!

Question about data transfer.

Since you purchased the games on your account, you can redownload them and play them on any other console. Performing a license transfer on the new console, would remove the console license from the old one and your son would no longer be able to play the
games on the old console.

Hi Giorius..

If you get a New/replacement Xbox One You Will be able to set that as Your Home console (you can do this Three times during a one year period) and Re-download any digital games and content.. Gamesaves are stored in the cloud as long as you are Connected
to Xbox live.. as long as you use the same account as before it will be accessable on the New console... You might get asked to sync the gamesave data when starting a game, just confirm that you want to sync/download the save from the cloud and the gamesave
will be recovered.. This might take a bit of time so be patient...

I Sold my Import XB One to a Cousin when I got my Scandinavian Day one console... and the prosess is the same, I had no problem setting the New console as my home console, migrating my Gamesaves and DLC, but at least for Forza5 the syncing of the gamesave
took a bit of time...

I just copy both files and move my profile to a Memory Unit/Flash Drive and it seems to work fine. You'll need to select the storage device from the main menu when at your friend's place though.

This sounds like the person in question was game sharing with you.

I recommend contacting Xbox as threats are taking very seriously.
