Question about using 2 different microsoft accounts with Xbox App on PC (Windows 10)

Hello.

Until yesterday, I could play on PC without any problem with 2 different accounts (a family member and my account). I just log out of Xbox App and when I log in, the app asked me what account I would use.

Well, today everytime that I log out and try to log in, the app just log in my account. I can't choose the other account, (Using Xbox app or Xbox companion app).

Obviously this is a problem because I purchased the game and the other account can't play it. I tried everything, but every solution is assuming that the app shows a list of the different Xbox profiles, and in my case the app just doesn't show anything, just log me in without asking anything

Thanks for the quick answer.

The last step did the trick and now I don't have any problem switching profiles.

Go to Windows Settings

Applications

Applications and Features

Search for the Xbox app

Click on it

Advanced options

Click repair

- If that doesn't solve the problem, do the same procedure again, and tap the restore option.

Solution 2:

Uninstall the Xbox app

Enter the WSRESET Term in the Windows search bar

Run as administrator

Wait for the window to open to close automatically

- Restart your computer after that, and install the application from the Microsoft store.

1. Sign in a different Microsoft account to the Xbox app and check if the same instance occurs.

2. Connect your Windows 10 PC to a different network and check if the same instance occurs.

3. Test the Xbox app on a different Windows 10 PC and check if the same instance occurs.

If you're using a Microsoft account on a Windows 10 PC an Xbox Live account is automatically created for things like purchasing from the app store and using the Xbox App. You're not required to use the account, but it is tied to the account that you use to
sign into a Windows 10 PC with.
