Question about used Xbox One games

Hey everyone - I'm going to be picking up an Xbox One next week and I had a question about the games. Do they come with a unique online code? I'm thinking of picking up some games used to save some money but I don't want to if I'm going to be missing out
on that code. I'm mainly interested in the exclusives (Dead Rising 3, Forza, PvZ, etc.) so does anyone know if they are safe to buy used from eBay or Gamestop?

On Fence now for Xbox One due to some issues...

There is a fee for used.. just unknown how much but its looking to be the price of the game new.....

What code? Like, an online pass? If so, then no, they don't have one.

 

Thanks. Yeah, that was what I was referring to. Like last gen when you would buy a game and need to enter a code to go online. Thanks for confirming.

 

You will need an XBox LIVE Gold subscription to play online.

However that subsription is good for anyone using your ONE.

For example Mrs Azrael needs her own XBox LIVE sub to play locally with me under her own tag and 2 other players on "Diablo III" for the XBox 360... however she will be able to play locally with me under her own tag and 2 other players on "Diablo III" for
the XBox ONE.

 

^That has nothing to do with what he was asking. He just wanted to know if games still came with online passes, where you couldn't play online without one.

He's getting an XBox ONE soon and wants to know how things will work online.

His specific question about Season Passes has been answered and this gives him more information on how LIVE will work with the ONE.

A Season Pass was NEVER brought up....... the 360 has those too just like every modern game.

Yes, its ok to buy used games to play on-line. The DRM was removed from the console. Try and get the best deal you can!!!!

No they no longer use codes almost every company, if not every company, has dropped the online code requirement. If you buy a game that can go online you'll be able to unless it specifically states on the case that you need an "online pass" or something
similar. None that i know of exist, just read the case and you'll be fine.
