Question about updates for Xbox One

Noticed that the latest installed update on my Xbox is from February. Hasn't there been any monthly updates since? The console can't find any new updates, but aren't they released every month usually?

The February update does appear to be the most current general OS release.

It's not unusual to see small updates issued every month or so, but I don't think the release timetable is precise. Plus, due to the challenges presented by distancing requirements, I'd imagine that Microsoft (and pretty much every other company) has had
to adjust their work processes, which may account for the incremental release void that we currently see.

No, there are certain time's of the year that they are released. Normally around spring and fall months of the year.

I'm pretty sure I've got system updates every month before on Xbox, just like Windows get updates every month

The fluctuation in speeds is normal. Your internet circuit is relative slow and anything else happening on your network or the servers can impact your actual speeds. It is extremely rare to get your full bandwidth when downloading anything.
