    Question about transporting hard drive


    I am planning on taking my Xbox 360 S hard drive with me somewhere, and I am curious about the safety/integrity of doing so. Would putting it in something as simple as a plastic bag be safe enough? or would I have to take extra precautions?

    If I take a xbox external hard drive from a banned console, and place it on a new xbox will that get that new xbox banned?

    These things get shipped around the country by various postal services without any problems. All I would suggest it to maybe put it inside a padded envelope (the bubble wrap type) if it worries you that much and just make sure it doesn`t get wet or dropped.

    I never had to format mine when I got my new console.I just stuck the hard drive in and starting playing.After formatting your hard drive leave it in your console then connect to XBL.If the update is not found you will be prompted to update which should
    give you a clean hard drive but updated to play old games.
