Question about the noise level of the Slim E/ 500 GB

Hey guys,

some days ago I purchased two X360 consoles (Slim E 500 GB) and both are pretty loud (the consoles themselves, not the power bricks). I heard a lot of Slim consoles before (normal Slim and the E Version with 250 GB) and most of them were pretty quiet. Is
this normal or should they be as quiet as the older slims or at least somehow quiet?

e console 360 hard drive

Hi, have E console 4 gb, seem to find in stores only internal hard drive for SLiM, at Best Buy, 500 gb original XBOX 360 hDD, will this work?

 

Does the Xbox 360 E have a different DVD Disc drive to the Xbox 360 slim?

Because I have an Xbox 360 slim and an Xbox 360 E 250GB (Manufacture date 2013-07-23) and the Xbox 360 E makes a 'Grrrr' noise just prior to eject and also if a game is left in the drive idle it makes the same
noise after about a minute, the slim DVD drive
does not make this noise.

The DVD drive also ejects smoother on E than the slim, (that’s another reason why i think it may be different. DVD drive)

I know of one other Xbox 360 E that makes exactly the same noise.

I don't own a 360e but a friend does & her console is very quiet.I'd take the console back & get a replacement if I was you.

 

I just bought one the other day too. Mine is so quiet I didn't even here it shut off on the auto shut down feature.
