    Question about the Game drive!

    Hi

When you connect an external hard drive to the Xbox One for storing and playing games the console will use the complete drive and it cannot be used for storing information from a PC as well.

  6. The Xbox One uses a 2.5" SATA hard drive, the same as conventional computers.

As a matter of fact, Xbox Ones are manufactured with the same hard drives you can find sold separately in various stores. The brand and model would vary, depending on however they contract parts for console manufacture. Microsoft seems to use Samsung-Seagate
    hard drives, for example the
    500GB Spinpoint M8 ST500LM012
in most original 500GB consoles, or the
    2TB Spinpoint M9T ST2000LM003
in Xbox One S launch consoles.

    Question about the Game drive!

I guess you may be on about replacing the consoles internal hard drive with a larger one? If you are then you can probably get the PC to format it for use as a regular data drive however please be aware this would be classed as modifying your console and
it's detected by Microsoft it will very likely get the console banned from connecting to the Xbox servers as it could be classed as
    modifying the console.
