Question About The Cloud

I'm currently having trouble with one of my games and I was told by an Xbox rep to uninstall the game then reinstall. Do you guys know if I uninstall the game then reinstall will all my saves and progress for it still be there and available?

Questions about cloud storage.

On the 369, games saves are not automatically saved to the cloud. You have to choose to save it there when the game asks where you want to save your game. After that, any saves will for that game will go to the cloud unless you choose otherwise.

I am not doubting that. I just replied and said that if you had a good connection and unlimited broadband, you would get all the benefits pertaining to the cloud, but if you had a poor or no service, you would have to make do with a bog standard game.

And then i refuted a wildly inane comment about 95% of gamers (like Us - was the term) always being connected, so i dispelled that myth. Not everyone in the world is like us. Not everyone i know has 60Meg unlimited Fibre Optic Broadband. But if no-one ever
sticks up for the little guys, who will. And that in my opinion will be the end of a gaming culture that now encompasses all classes. If we just ignore people because they don't have an internet, or poor service

And then apparently if you don't have internet of have a crap service, you are not a gamer. Anyone who purchases games regardless of whether they have internet or not, is a gamer by definition. Not because someone thinks that they have everything they need
to get online, that rest of the gaming world world does. Society does not work like that.

Just wanted to add this (If you've already uninstalled your game(s), then you may already know this). Might help someone though.

Your game save files are separate from the game data itself. If you uninstall the game, you don't uninstall or delete your save files, just the game itself.

Also, there are 2 copies of your game save files. One is on your console, the other is on the cloud. If you try to delete your game save(s), you will be prompted to make a choice. It will give you the option of deleting the copy on the console, or both the
console and cloud copies.

You will only lose all of your game save(s) and progress if you choose to delete all copies.

95% probably do have internet connection available. assuming every single xbox is still active and only 60% are connected, that 35% gap probably are the parents who dont let their kids connect to the internet and people who just dont want internet. but there
is an internet connection in the household or could be if it was desired.

none the less 95% arent connected. but i guess it depends how you define gamers, which i could care less if im considered a gamer or not. in fact id probably prefer not based on the way some of them act.

gamer and title nomenclature aside, at some point in the near future, if you want to play the best games you are going to have to be online.
