    Hello, I recently bought my Xbox One and I'm loving it! No problems so far but I have a question.

    I found out that the current location is a bit to tight for my One and I want to do something about it (the wooden plank the Xbox sits on can be lowered). What is the recommended space in between the console and the wood above? There is exactly a 4cm gap
    right now between the console and the upper wood plank and I think that's a bit to small, right? It gets really hot in there. I'm not to worried about the sides, air seems to flow through there no problem (or should I be worried about that to?).

    Also, the power brick seems to be a huge source of heat, what is the best location for it? The cord isn't really long so right now it's next to my console...

    Battlefield 4 overheat issue?

    Make sure that your xbox has perfect air flow. I put my xbox horizontal and put 3 xbox cases under the middle, so that the air vents can flow. If that doesnt work, open up your xbox, and clean out those fans of yours. If that doesn't work, Try to play 2
    games, and dashboard. That should cool down the xbox. TIP: Buying new fans for your xbox won't help

    Can the Xbox One be used in an upright position?

    All the pictures on the internet show the Xbox One laying flat. I also asked several of my old co-workers at MS and they didn't know. So does anyone know if it can be set upright and used? The pictures appear to show venting on the sides so I am not 100%
    sure it can be like the 360 without (partially) restricting air flow.

    If you have the chance, I would put down the shelf a little bit further downwards and have the power supply moved to a separate location like the top shelf where you have the controllers stored.

    Sometimes I notice flickering if my console doesn't have enough air flow. Please ensure that it's not in an enclosed area and has proper flow. The xbox can get quite hot and poor flow will have adverse results.
