Question about sharing between 2 Xbox ones

So I have two Xbox one's. We will say Xbox 1 is in the livingroom and Xbox 2 is in the bedroom. I set my wife's Xbox (#2) to my home Xbox as I have purchased numerous games digitally and that is where she usually plays video games. I set Xbox #1 to her home
Xbox incase she purchases something then I will get it. Well today she decided to let our child watch Netflix on my account on Xbox #2 and my wife went to play games on Xbox #1 but she couldn't because it says she doesn't own the game. I feel like it's kind
of rediculous that because my wife went to a different system in our house she can't play video games. Is there any way around this? We should both be able to play our games on either console in our house without having to figure out who needs to be signed
in. In order for her to play games in the living room both of us needs to be signed in which then makes our second Xbox useless. For instance she wants to play fallout in the living room. She needs to sign me in along with her. So now I can't watch Netflix
or play a video game in my room because I can't sign in...this whole thing seems wonky. Sorry about that last part that was just a little rant.

    :)

Copying everything would put everything on both consoles, but you can only share content on 1 console at a time. If everything is connected to your account, you would have to set one of the consoles as your Home console. They can access the content on that
console. Otherwise, you would have to be signed in on the other console in order for them to access the content.

Question about sharing between 2 Xbox ones

The home sharing works but I think I see the problem you are having. I will explain as best I can to how it works

If you bought games using your account, you don't need to sign in to Xbox 2 (Your wife's xbox) to play them as it is your Home Xbox but, if you want play them on Xbox 1, your account needs to be signed in as it is not your Home Xbox.

That means, even if your account's main Xbox is Xbox 2, you will need to sign in as it's not your Home Xbox as locked by the system.

This happens because your Home Xbox will just know that it's your main account so it will automatically validate the game but to play it on the other Xbox, you must be signed in so that it will validate it somewhat manually through logging in but it has
to remain logged in to keep that validation.

I agree to above poster that Xbox Home game sharing does work.

Based on your issue description, your wife went on to play games on Xbox 1 using her account. Now, since Xbox 1 is not your profile's Home Xbox, your profile will not be able to share its game to other profiles because it already set Xbox 2 as its Home Xbox
which means all other profiles on Xbox 1 will not be able to play your games. Your wife though should still be able to play the games purchased and redeemed on her account on Xbox 1.

I understand it does work but I wish Microsoft would add the ability to maybe have 2 home xboxs' to me that makes more sense than only being able to set one home Xbox. I think my wife and I should be able to play on either console at the same time. I'm not
one of those people who really likes to complain or anything and I am very happy that I am able to share my games with my wife so I don't need to purchase a second copy. I just wish it was streamlined a tiny bit more then I would say the home sharing would
be perfect. Thanks for all the input.

    Question about terms of usage.

This question need to be corrected, because we want to know about My Home Console feature in case of games sharing with friends. When one friend buy a game and second friend buy another game, after that they use this feature to share their games between
them. In my opinion, this will lead to ToS violating, because of license sharing, that not permitted between players, who not from one family.

Xbox series s game sharing with Xbox one

    Hello!

My name is Dérek, I'm an independent platform consultant and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you.

J, sharing is done normally between the 2 platforms.

The difference is that if you have a game with the Optimized version only, it will not work on Xbox One.

    This is the only downside.

In the rest, all versions of xbox one and you have it in your account, it is shareable between both consoles.

And the way to share is the default, putting your profile as the main one on the other console.

I remain at your disposal if you have any further questions.
