question about save files
Im getting a new xbox 360 slime 4gb soon
I haven't heard of a "slime" edition. :)
i want to know can all my saves files fit on there and yes i have a transfer cable
All of my save game files fit on an
original 512MB MU. unless you have waaay more save game files, they'll all fit on the internal 4GB memory unit of the 4GB 360 S. Note that available user capacity on a 4GB 360 S should be around 3.2GB total (there's probably some stuff stored on it from the
factory, though).

The transfer cable will allow you to Copy or Move content from the old HDD to the new console. You can cancel all the dialogs and access the drive from System Settings, Memory if you'd like to manually Copy or Move files from one to the other.

question about save files

as long as you do not have more than 3.45 or so gigs of saves you should be fine but I am NOT sure if you can transfer files to a slim 4 gig with the transfer cable. I personally think your best bet is to get a USB flash drive of at least 1 gig and set
it up for use on 360 then put your saves and account (saves you from having to download it onto your new system). I had a 4 gig flash drive and was able to put both my account and all my saves and still had like almost 3 gig left.

question about save file

It depends on the game. Not all of them support cross-saves. If they do, the save should automatically sync up on the console when you start the game.

Save file question.

Hey MrPonyKeg,

Yes, it is safe for you to start a new game and save it. The save files are connected specifically to a profile. What this means is that your profile creates one and so did his. As long as you don't delete a save file manually, you'll be good to go.

I hope that I answered your question enough.

Let us know if you have any more questions =)

Can I choose between Cloud Saves or Local Saves for my games? Can I access these files?

Hey Paul,

Thank you for the overview of the cloud saves. Regarding the second question, am I able to access these files myself? I'm assuming not for the cloud saves as the Xbox(Beta) app is still rough around the edges and obscure but how about the local game files?
