Question about replacement console.

I currently have been experiencing the issue where my xbox is not recognizing the discs sometimes. It doesn't happen all the time but occasionally when I put a disc in, it doesn't do anything. Doesn't even spin. My question is: If I get a replacement
console will I lose all my saves? Or will I be able to get them back with the cloud. Also, do I need to wipe all my info off of the xbox that I send in for repair?

I have decided that if Microsoft doesn't want to pay for shipping their obviously defective controller back to them for a day-one replacement, then they are welcome to pay to ship me console after console until it works. if that means it never works, then
it's not my fault they didn't do the right thing.

but hey maybe I'll get lucky and the replacement console will do it. will let you know either way!

How , exactly , can MS call a controller or a power brick an "accessory" ? are they not required to use the console? So their policy is brand new out of the box bad and the customer has to take their time and money to send it back......as a consumer (who
had to do this with his day one controller) this is the most low down dirty trick that has ever been played on me I think.

 

All games saves are saved on the cloud. All you need to do when you get your newly fixed/new system just import your account again and you should be fine. You do note need to wipe your HDD on your Xbox One before shipping it as well.

 

Ok thanks for the reply. Just didn't want to worry about someone else getting my old console and info(account/cc info) if it was refurbished and sent back out.

 

When you ship your system out to Microsoft to fix they usually either fix the system itself and send it back or send you a new system and your old one will get wiped and refurbished.

 

They send you a refurbished system....unacceptable
