If I buy a game outside of the U.S., will the game still be in english when I play it?

Question about regions...

The games that are free in those countries are free because of differences between the Xbox LIVE service.

If a game is free in a other country it could be for promotion or anything else.

If you start to download them and change your region, you get in trouble.

I don´t know why you are asking this.

VPN is also a two sided blade.

Just because people do it and get away with it does not mean they won´t get in trouble one day.

If you want a honest answer on all your questions, do not do what you asked.

Of course it´s different if you pay for the games.

Question about regions...

Hi,

I have a question. Since people got banned for downloading "free" games from Oman there are several rumours about buying games from foreign marketplaces. Every player above 500k GS (and probably a lot below) has done that to get content from Japan, Germany
and some other countries.

So my questions are:

1. Am I allowed to buy and download content from foreign countries? People got banned for "Utilizing fraudulent methods in order to obtain region-specific marketplace content or circumvent regional pricing" but even people like Microsoft's favourite gamer (italian)
S*******83 obviously did that. Or is it only illegal to get free games that are not supposed to be free? They ban people for this but you cannot find any information about this.

2. When I move from country A to country B do I have to migrate my account to country B even though some content is not available in country B? Or can I create a new account with the current region that I can use my old account to download my purchased content
which is not available in my new region.

3. Some content has IP restrictions. same example...when I move from country A to country B am I allowed to use VPN services to download and use the content I have paid for? I do not mean buying new stuff. I am talking about content I have paid for in country
A. For example I would like to download everything again when I buy a new console.

Game disks are not coded for regions for the Xbox One and the language should be based on the language that your Xbox One console is set to under Settings > System > Language and Location.

1. You are allowed to purchase content from a different country. But you'll also have to purchase a different Xbox since there are so many games that are region locked. Let's use Japan as an example. If you're console can only play NTSC, it will not
play NTSC-J. Unless the games are Region-Free. (PAL, NTSC, NTSC-J)

2. Migrating your account is only optional. If you move from country A to B and want all content from B to be added to your main XBL account, then you can migrate your account. If not, you can simply create a new account.

3. From my understanding of things, VPN services are not allowed. You can keep your previous console, have all of that content from A on that console. And from B, you can have the content on there.

When you do a region change then anything that is not region specific is lost. For example, any games you want to keep that aren't available in the region you are moving to. This also includes season passes for items.

This does not mean that your download history is lost forever, that stays with your account. It just means that some items are not accessible from some countries so you would do well to download what you want to keep before heading off and doing the region
change.
