    Question about regions and money purchases


    I live in the US, a my friend is in the UK. I would like to gift him money that he can use either by sending a code or directly through xbox. Is this gifting process possible?

    Unable to purchase Dark Souls II with Xbox Live money.

    Tried that already. I added my debit card. And Xbox Live allowed me to purchase with that. The gamecard money was still grayed out.

    I've asked Xbox Support about this issue and all they keep telling me is that certain games can't be bought by "local currency" because of "region" issues or something. It makes no sense. How is USA region blocked? It should be a high priority region because
    of consumer demand. And "local currency"? Heck the gamecard money is literally converted to virtual money now, how the heck is it local now?

    So many questions unanswered and it frustrates me.

    How to change the region in my XBox Live Account?

    The new tool is available and I have a question. The website mentions that there is some content that won't transfer/migrate to the new region. My question however is about the content that does transfer. Does the purchase history transfer too? Will I be
    able to download purchased games again (if available in the new region), even to a new console?

    Or are all my purchases lost when I switch the region?

    You can thru a retailer but it would be up to you to come up with your method of delivery

    Amazon has a UK website and the code can be emailed but that is a 3rd party site

    Gifting is generally not allowed on game services as it is. Method of paying for cheats

    It's at your own risk and your own 3rd party use

    Game disks are not coded for regions for the Xbox One and the language should be based on the language that your Xbox One console is set to under Settings > System > Language and Location.
