    Question about Region Locked Console.


    My cousin is visiting from China with a Xbox One China. I understand that it is region locked meaning it can't play any games bought in America. But can she play the xbox one games she got from china in america? (The console won't turn on.) --> Is this because
    it is region locked?

    Rockband is region locked so a US version will not work on a PAL console

    Games downloaded on Xbox live are region locked?

    I have a US - NTSC Xbox 360 console, which I am now using in India. I know that certain game DVDs are region locked and I need to buy NTSC version DVD for my console.

    But my question is if I buy/download the games through XboxLive, even then do I have to worry about games being region locked? I would like to know this before I actually download a game from XboxLive

    Every Xbox one is region free. And any game from any store will play on the Xbox one.

    I would check your power. Chances are if you are supplying the incorrect power to a box from another country it will not turn on. Hope this helps.

    Hi

    If the Pal did played but not the NTSC-J disc then your console is not from the correct region. If it is a 360, then the console are Region locked and it seems like yours is PAL.
    The console isn't region locked per-say, it's the account and the phyiscal region that causes the lock. All Xbox One consoles are the same internally, there are no PAL/NTSC variations anymore. Besides, HDMI does not use this system anyway.

    Only the original Xbox One had regional variations, and that was purely down to the external power supply. Newer consoles are multi-voltage. And they no longer have PAL and NTSC consoles.

    I was talking about the xbox 360,which was hardware locked not software locked by account region.

    It´s the game.

    Some games are region locked thats all.

    US and europe consoles can all read PAL but if a game is region locked it will not work.

    So if the game is only for New Zealand but your console is not it will not read it.

    It has nothing to do with PAL.

    Sometimes it has to do with the language sometimes it´s just a choice for the publisher to put a region lock on it.

    There is nothing you can do about it.

    It is known that Fifa is region locked.

    For the power supply, just buy a new Austrilian Xbox 360 one when you're out there. Then you should a good to go.
