Question about Regeneration

@ Awesome Exo, 3-5k is not average, you get that when you join mid match. You can get that for doing nothing and your team just winning the game. It's not an average score, average would be about 9k, not getting any challenges and losing. Not trying to cause
an argument or anything, just stating a fact. Unless you're not doing anything at all and just standing there camping maybe getting 1-2 kills, then 3-5k is not average.

Standing around in in hard point maybe, but in attrition 5k is killing a few pilots and 10 or so grunts and 1 or 2 titans. Not superstar stats, but definitely not that guy who goes 1 and 12, and kills 10 grunts. On this flip side, you can play a good match
where you just can't find things to kill.

But let me amend, 3k isn't good. but 5K can be considered average, to slightly below average. I stand by that side of it.

I'm also representing the "Average" player base with my assessment. My friend has a 2 something KD, I run a 1.4. My match expectation is a little different than his. As I expect my match expectation is probably different that yours.

@ awesome, i am in line with you....average 5 to 10k per match and am competent at best. it really depends upon what challenges you complete. i typically use the same set up over and over again which actually hurts you from a XP stand point. you may get
quite of a number of kills, but all basically completed all the challenges for that set up.

i've been stuck on the last challenge (critically conditioned - charge rifle) before regen forever now and my XP per match has plummeted. i have 5 more before regen, but often get killed a number of times before getting a recording a hit.

I'm a Gen. 4 and on average (I play variety pack) I get around 14-15k a match (including challenges) and I'm not awesome at this game. I do consider myself slightly better than a good percentage of the player base

Don't forget about the XP multiplier that increases with every regen.

I am gen 8, I just got just over 120,000 in one match, (only due to the 2.5 multiplier though)

Have you ever played COD? It's the same thing. You lose all challenge progress and all your level progress but keep all achievements.

If you are focusing on leveling up, as someone else said, focus on challenges. You can get more xp for completing a challenge than for completing a match.

Don't rely on your match results XP, especially if you aren't a skilled player. I think 3-5k per match is average to just below average, not horrible as some other people feel. I'm pretty good, not great, and I don't ever remember getting over 20k without
doing a challenge. But, I'm gen 8, and haven't really watched how much XP I'm getting since about G4, so I'm not a reliable source of my own ability.
