Question about redeeming Games with Gold

Hi

I'm new to Xbox so please bear with me as I'm primarily a PS3 and PS4 user.

My wife won an Xbox One and I bought an Xbox 360 recently for $10 so I figured I'd buy a year of Xbox Live to take advantage of Games with Gold. My 360 didn't come with a hard drive unfortunately. My question is this: On my PS3 or PS4 I can redeem the monthly
PS+ games but I don't have to download them. As a matter of fact I can redeem them on their store website so that I can download them later. Is this an option on Xbox 360? Every time I try to redeem a game on the Xbox store it just tells me I don't have enough
space. Is it get a hard drive or miss out? I'd like to have them available to me when I do get a hard drive, as is the case with Sony.

Xbox Live game with gold

Hey bobkill01,

Did you purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription for your account, or did you redeem an Xbox Live Gold trial, by chance? In order to download the Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles, you would need to have an active Gold subscription for your account.

Question about Games With Gold.

It will probably update RV6 to a free game around 6am PST tomorrow morning

 

Once you confirm the purchase of the game, it should be added to your download history even if you don't complete the download, so you can redownload it at any time in the future for free.

This will show you how to check your download history to make sure the games show there -

With ps 3 and ps4 psn plus free games you rent the games till you let your membership expires

Xbox one and 360 as long as you are in the same region as your account you can always download the games once you make the purchase of the games for gold

Great info, thank you! I'm getting an error at the moment as it looks like there's an issue with Xbox Live at the moment but I'll check again later.

 

The only xbox status right now is with xbox streaming apps like netflix and youtube

If your account region doesnt match your actual region it womt work

If you are on a foreign base them you must match your host country as they are your actual location

Xbox live regioms must match for the best experience with xbox live

They go by country not continent

 

OK, when I click on Download History, the only thing listed there is "Content not available". If I click on that, I get "There's a problem with the Xbox service" with an error code of 800700E8.

 

Content not available happens only when the publisher pulls the content usually due to licensing issues

That happens regardless of what console you are on as per copyright laws

 

For instance, I tried to download Army of Two this morning and got the not enough space error. Then I checked my Download History and all it said is Content not available. I also tried to add, I believe Witcher 2 last month (or whenever it was free recently)
and that's not listed either.

 

You may have to try adding a USB drive just to get it to at least start trying to download then.
