Question About New Headset Adapter Before I Purchase.

Hey,

Now that I know the headset adapter has been released I plan on picking one up tonight. The headset I use are the Turtle Beach XP400s. Currently I have the Xbox One sound running through my Receiver and through an Optical out to my Headset Hub.



Now my question-

With the new adapter, since I cannot use the wireless chat anymore, can I only have Voice go through the controller and adapter or is the game sound forced through also? As I mentioned I already have the sound going through a much better system (receiver),so
I really prefer to keep it that way. I only want the Voice Chat to be going through the controller/adapter. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

turtle beach xbox one headphone adapter

I have been onto turtle beach about my broken px5s , but in the conversation with customer support I asked about the release of the xbox one adapter for existing headphones and he said that Microsoft will only allow the sale of the adapter with new headsets with compliance with there license to Microsoft ,and people who have purchased turtle beach headsets before the 31 st of jan will get the free upgrade , Microsoft haven't said they will sell the adapter at a later date as of yet , so if people are waiting for the adapter in the near future forget it !!! , I was going to purchase new headphones anyway , but it looks as if there gonna maximise the sale of new headsets before they sell the adapter

 

Turtle Beach

Hi all. Just purchased the Turtle Beach 30x cheap Headset for my Xbox one not realising that it needs a new Xbox controller (didn't realise there was a new controller) to plug directly into.

In the Turtle Beach instructions it says to purchase the Ear Force Headset Audio Controller so I can plug the head set into that then that into the controller.

My question at last is, will the official headset adapter for Xbox work with the Turtle Beach instead of their Audio Controller.

Only Voice should be going trough the adapter as long as your connection for In Game sound is not the controller, for example RCA Jack or the Digital Optical Out

I am trying to figure out how this is going to work, as I have TB Ghosts Phantoms, and not sure what cable to use to get chat. I received Adapter today.

 

Same here I cant get chat to work so I can speak thru my headset. I have the Razer Krakken Pro

 

I have TB x12 and cant get rid of game sounds on the chat channel. chat seems to work, but buried in game sounds

This is incorrect. Game audio and Chat audio now come through the new stereo adapter. There are overall volume buttons on right of adapter, a mute button in the middle and a two buttons on the left that allow you to adjust the mix of the game and chat
audio.

When I hooked up my TB X41s, I can hear both audio from the the TB transmitter (hooked to optical out) and the stereo audio from the adapter. I turned the adapter game audio to 0%, but when I turn up my TB audio volume, my friends hear themselves echo when
they talk.

 

As seen on MS Official Site for the Adapter:

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio
will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter. For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)
