    Question about "Inappropriate Words"


    I just made this account, and was wanting to quote Monty Python as my Motto. Ran into a rather strange issue. The quote is "Tis But A Scratch". Not offensive at all. So why is "Tis" considered inappropriate? It's just an old way of saying "it is" or something
    along those lines. How is it inappropriate? I'm not complaining, i can re-word it but i'm curious as to why it's considered inappropriate

    Because it is inappropriate. That's why. A word doesn't have to be profane to be disallowed.

    Unfortunately, we're unable to speculate on why that'd be offensive. Have you tried switching out specific words and seeing what's preventing you from using that quote?

    bitte is a term that can be used for wanting milk from an apendage of the opposite gender. hence why it wont be allowed. also in french it means a gentlemens appendage.

    don't forget that xbox live is a global platform and has to take into account offensive words in all languages.

    Quite strange. In general the inappropiate words that the console detects are a bit strange. Like trios or duos (of course mode for apex/battle royale) are inappropiate.

    I believe it will be fixed in some near future, thanks for the spot.

    i wrote a whole sentence and it gave me the message above so i tried finding the cause of it and it was indeed Bitte.

    Depending on the word it may have different meaning in different language or common expressions and therefore may be marked as inappropriate
