Question about Game Pass Ultimate

In the FAQ section for Game Pass Ultimate, it states the following:

"When you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we will apply any prepaid time you have on Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass toward Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, up to a maximum of 36 months.

For example, if you have 3 months of Xbox Live Gold and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass already on your account when you purchase your first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you will have a total of 7 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on your account before
you need to renew your membership."

I purchased my first month of Ultimate during the $1/month sale in June, and it converted the 4 months of Xbox Live Gold I had left into Game Pass Ultimate, meaning my subscription ended this month, and I canceled it before it could renew. Since canceling
my Ultimate subscription, I have now paid for a year of Xbox Live Gold. If I were to pay for a month of Ultimate at the full $14.99 price, would it still convert my year of Live over to Ultimate, or does that conversion only apply when joining Game Pass Ultimate
for the first time, as in the example given in the FAQ response?

The promotion is $1 for one month only. You'll be charged full price for any subsequent months.

ok, that's what I needed to hear. So instead of paying 49.99$ the next time (3 months), it will be free, until my initial 80$ payment from Xbox Live Gold will be empty. Am I right ?

Thank you for that answer. But if I understand correctly, they will keep my 80$ plus the amount of a Game Pass ultimate ? Like if I am paying twice the amount ? 🤔
