Question about free song credits

I recently ditched my hdd for an ssd, but I didn't transfer any data. I'm also grandfathered into the 10 song credit plan. When I try to redownload songs I used credits on before, I'm asked to purchase them again. Is there any way to recover those songs
without having to pay for them?

Grandfathered Zune Song Credits

Zune song credits appears to be dead: I have tried to use credits as of 21 January 2013 and it's not allowing me to via the Zune software installed on Windows 7. Attempts to "buy" a song using a song credit show "0 song credits" even though I would normally
have 10 song credits every month.

Tried to download it via Xbox.com and it says free but then asks me to add a credit card. Which is weird since I do have a credit card on file

Purchases from the Zune Software can only be downloaded once. If you can get them off of your old hard drive you'll be able to use them again.

For support to check into it, it's best to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions forum. Keep in mind that it takes about 96 hours for survey credits to show as pending and there are no offers to receive credits for downloading a free game.

I just started the free music trial and found that they billed my credit card for each song purchased, I thought the downloads were free on the free trial and once you paid for each month the same thing applied, you download all you want for 10$ a month
