Question about buying games from xbox marketplace

If I buy nba 2k16 for xbox 360 on the marketplace, then later get an xbox one, do i have to buy the game all over again? Or will it be free to download onto my xbox one with my live account.

Games on Demand

Due to this Disc Unreadable/Unrecognized problem thats been going around since the latest Dashboard update, can't play most games from the disc itself anymore. So thinking about buying a full actual game (not an arcade or indie game) from the Game Marketplace.
I'm a little cautious though, have heard people have problems purchasing, downloading or finding games that they've downloaded from the marketplace. Are these common problems? Should I not buy a game from the marketplace? Any information on buying Xbox 360
games from the marketplace would help.

Disc vs Download?

No. I'm talking about going into the Xbox marketplace and buying the game online. Not getting one of those digital download things from WalMart.

Xbox 360 & Xbox One are completely different versions. Games that are available on both Xbox 360 & Xbox One has no chances for a BC, so yes, you will have to re-buy the game when you get an Xbox One.

New retail games are released on disc first, and you have to buy them from your local games store. After a few months these games are then released on the Xbox marketplace, but it will be cheaper to buy the disc from the store. Arcade games are released
usually every Wednesday (Sometimes on a Friday) and are bought from the Xbox marketplace on the Xbox 360. Hope this answers your question.

Hello mrGzKo, I don't understand your question. Are you trying to buy it from your xbox 360 or from here ( marketplace.xbox.com ).

You said not from PC (marketplace.xbox.com) and not from your console, I don't see how else you could buy a game from the marketplace.
