Question about buying Digital copy of Game

So i bought the Handsome jack collection on my Xbox one and was going to transfer data from my 360 save over; however, i cannot find my borderlands 2 disc for the 360. i am wondering if buying the digital copy will work. im worried that if i buy the digital
copy that it will delete my saves or not work in general. i did copy the saves i wanted onto a USB just in case, but i figured i would check here to see if buying the digital copy will work.

sucks buying a bunch of digital copy games and they never have covers. its like buying a game without a case.

Digital copies work the same as the disc version. The data for the games themselves is separate from game saves, so using the digital copy vs. the disc will not affect anything else.

Yes you can play a game on disc whilst you are downloading a digital game at the same time. When the digital copy has downloaded enough for you to play it, it will tell you that it is ready to play. It will also tell you what part of the game hasn't finished
downloading if you try to play it, it's pretty straight forward once you get into it.

Yeah, you can install on the second Xbox One using the disc and if you are logged into that console, the game will be playable. You will not need to download it in that case.

sadly as stated you would have to buy a digital copy in addition. I don’t think it was a stupid question at all.

Unfortunately there is no way to convert your physical copy to a digital copy, the only why is to go and buy the digital edition of that game.
