Question About Buying a Game Digitally On Day One of It's Release.

I am considering buying Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain digitally on Tuesday, but I do have a question.

So the question is:

Is there a higher chance of something going wrong during downloading such as server overload, slowness etc because it's day one.. or would it be better to go out and buy the physical disc? Or will it be like any other day of downloading a game?

Note: I have bought games digitally before.. but never on day one.

Day One Games and day one digital release

Now that buying the physical copy requires the disc to be in the drive i'm considering just buying my games digitally. Does anyone know if i will still get the day one bonus content if i buy the games digitally day one? it would be seriously backwards
if i miss out of the extra content because i chose to buy digitally.

 

Day One Digital Doesn't Get Bonuses ?

Thats pretty sad considering i got DLC when buying all my other games digitally on day one.

 

Have you bought on a Tuesday before? The servers don't care what game you're buying and every Tuesday is a day one for some game. I would preorder it then download immediately why wait til Tuesday then you would be able to play right at midnight on Tuesday

 

If you wait till Tuesday, it will probably be slower because other games are probably releasing the same day. I pre order everything digitally and have never had an issue.

 

I've always pre downloaded so I don't really know. I should imagine it being a slower download though due to the number of people downloading at the same time.

Think of it like queuing up for a major midnight release.
