Question about backwards compatibility.

Now we get to play Xbox 360 games on Xbox one. Well, most of them but i have a question. Will we still get to play them online when the Xbox 360 gets shutdown like the Original Xbox?

Question about backward compatibility.

Not sure that this is the place for this, but I couldn't really find a better place for it, so yea. Hypothetically speaking, If I owned bot the digital and disc versions of Skyrim, and it became backward compatible for XBone, would I have to buy these game
again, or would I still have access to these games since I've purchased both versions? I've asked this question multiple times in the past, but was hoping that the time that has passed since the last time, would possible provide an answer. Anyone with an
answer or link to the info would be greatly appreciated.

No worries, ArggoNunya! With Play Anywhere, this will change soon for Xbox One games, so keep an eye out for those types of games later this year!

Are you still having sign in issues we can assist with? We don't want to leave you hanging with that.

Hi there non preview members will have to wait til holiday 2015 for backwards compatibility to arrive it is currently in preview. As far as the online question that would solely be up to the developer of said game at that point and time.

Hey, ArggoNunya! Backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games is only available for the Xbox One, not Windows 10. Any games that you have purchased on the Xbox 360 that you would like to play on your Windows 10 PC would need to be purchased again.

As for the sign in issues, do you receive any error codes with that? We'll be able to start from there to see if we can get that to stop happening for you. Thanks!

Hey ArggoNunya,

Unfortunately there is no backward compatibility between games you purchased digitally on Xbox 360 and Windows 10. However, if an Xbox 360 game is supported by backward compatibility on Xbox One, and you own an Xbox One console, you can play it on your Windows
10 device with game streaming via the Xbox app.

Regarding the issue you described launching the Xbox app and being prompted to sign in, can you try this with the Xbox (beta) app, and then after encountering it submit feedback by selecting the menu in the top left corner and navigating to Feedback?

This will send us a snapshot of data from your device and allow us to investigate this further.
