Question about backward compatibility of Xbox 360 for playing old Splinter Cell Trilogy

After playing Halo 1 and Halo 2 on my XBox 360 S I've decided to play a few more old Xbox Original games and bought the original first Splinter Cell (-CD) but the game doesn't run and i get the message that the game is not certified
for this console despite being on the official list of old games which are playable on the XBox 360.

I have an original XBox 360 S with an original hard drive.

Are the old Splinter Cell games still running on the XBox 360?

And what about the other games on the list? Is the Xbox 360 still backwards compatible in general?

Add Splinter Cell games to Xbox 1 Backwards Compatablity

I have played Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell games for years on my Xbox 360. Then after buying the Xbox One, my Xbox 360 broke. I was dissapointed until I found out about backwards compatibility. A year ago. I have waited for a year for the Splinter Cell games,
and even just Tom Clancey gams in general. So Xbox, If you could add more Tom Clancy games to the Xbox One's Backward Compatibility, I would greatly appreciate that.

While I personally hardly ever used backwards compatibility on any capable console i believe it is good for those who want and need it.

I voted for Red Dead Redemption. I was upset when I learned that GTA V was being re-mastered over Read Dead Redemption. But I understood it.

I voted for Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Fable Trilogy, Splinter Cell Conviction and Splinter Cell Blacklist.

And a few others not named Call of Duty.
