Question about backing up games?

Hey guys, so I have a question about backing up games. I want to sell my 360 and get an Xbox One, and I want to make a new profile for the Xbox One and I was wondering if there was any way I could back up some of my games? Thank you.

360 backing up HDD question

The license for playing offline is tied to the console id. So providing you are putting the hard drive in the same console, you'll have no worries playing the games offline.

I wouldn't worry about Microsoft dropping LIVE support for the 360 quite yet. They still have millions of them in homes around the world, no way would they want to miss out on revenue from an install base that size.

360 backing up HDD question

I have a 250gb hdd, i was thinking if i bought another 250gb or 320gb hdd to re download everything and keep it boxed up, can i still play my games offline on both harddrives??? i run most of my games on my hdd and worried about it crashing. still dont know
how MS is keeping live around, worried about losing all games and dlc purchased

The games themselves or the game saves? In order to keep the game saves you would need to save them to the cloud. Any games you have purchased digitally will remain tied to your account. You would have to continue using the same account on the One in order
to access those games and saves.

Game "backups" are a legal grey area. Closest thing to the 360, is installing games. I'm not sure if the Xbox One supports installing games, but, backwards compatible 360 titles, are downloaded to your console, and need the disc to just boot up the title.
