Question About Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

As this is only my second Assassin's Creed game I've ever played (the first was Black Flag and I didn't really like it.. at all.. it was free with GWG). Which
Assassin's Creed is Syndicate? (Assassin's Creed 6 or 7).



BTW I am really enjoying this one, I may pick up some more Assassin's Creed games at a later date and see what they are like, but this game is just amazing IMHO.

This is closer to what an AC game should be.

 

They don't really stack numerically like movies or something. Initially Ubisoft said they'd only change the number in the titles with new protagonists. So if the main dude was a new dude it would go up a number. So it went:

AC - Altair

AC2

AC Brotherhood

AC Revelations - Ezio

ACIII - Conor

ACIV - Edward [IV is a prequel to III]

But then with Unity and Rogue they dropped the numbering entirely with two new protagonists. Rogue had Shay, an Assassin-turned-Templar, and Unity had Arno. Rogue is tied in with Unity's beginning, but is mostly set before ACIII. One lifetime of one guy.
Unity was a big step away from certain plot elements, and was the last big game to push the story of the series forward, and bring us up to date.

Syndicate is the 9th major title in the series. But if Ubisoft had kept their numbering conventions, and if Rogue would be considered an off-shoot. Unity would be 5. Syndicate would be Assassin's Creed 6. Or VI. lol

There are smaller tie-in titles too though, like Liberation which features an assassin named Aveline [and Conor from ACIII, same time-period] and then there's the Chronicles series. China [features an assassin trained by Ezio from ACII, BH,R], India, and
Russia.

Convoluted. Yes. =)

 

I cant wait to play this but have to wait until my birthday at the end of nov
